If you’re wanting to spice up this first weekend of March, you’re in luck. The 24th Annual National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show begins today and continues through the weekend at the Sandia Resort & Casino. The Women & Creativity Celebration 2012 also kicks of it’s monthlong calendar of events, and Bill Maher comes to the Kiva Auditorium for one performance on Saturday, March 3.

APS Annual Metro Art Youth Art Exhibit
Beginning today through April 1, 2012, Expo New Mexico’s Fine Arts Gallery will feature over 1000 pieces of artwork created by Albuquerque Public Schools middle school and high school students. This is a professionally juried exhibit covering 17 categories from ceramics to computer-generated art to printmaking and watercolor.

Foul Play Cafe
Join your dining companions for an evening of fun, food and foul play with a new interactive murder mystery at Sheraton Albuquerque. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM; seating begins at 7 PM. $32-$55; reservations required.
