Art – Old and New – Make An Appearance in ABQ This Weekend

First Friday Arts Crawl

It’s the first Friday of August, and that means it’s time for First Friday Artscrawl, a wonderful way to experience new art shows and exhibits all over Albuquerque. Tonight’s crawl includes new abstract watercolors at the Nob Hill Gallery, a new solo show of black and white relief prints at New Grounds Print WS, and a fun, funky photo show at 516 Arts Gallery exploring the hippies, communes and events in the Southwest during the late ’60’s.

Charlie Chaplin Festival Monsier Verdoux

With 4 PM and 7 PM showings on Saturday, you’ll have plenty of time to work this wonderful oldie but goodie into your weekend. This Saturday, Kimo Theatre presents this 1947 classic with Charlie Chaplin as “a suave but cynical man who supports his family by marrying and murdering rich women for their money”. You can find links to purchase tickets to both showings, the location address and all you need to know about Kimo Theatre in our Entertainment tab of the Albuquerque guide of APPCityLife.
