Enjoy the tale of how the Wicked Witch of the West and Glenda the Good met in the Land of Oz long before Dorothy discovered she wasn’t in Kansas anymore in the Broadway musical, Wicked, which has won over 30 awards including three Tony Awards and a Grammy.
The musical opens tonight at Popejoy Hall on the UNM campus and runs through Sunday, February 13. Tickets are still available for most shows, and a day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held 2½ hours prior to each show time. You have to show up at the Popejoy Hall box office and submit your name in a lottery drum. Winners are drawn within a half hour and will need to pay $25 each for up to two tickets per winner, cash only.
Note: Wicked is recommended for children 8 and older; if you show up with a child under then age of 4, they will not be admitted to the show.
