Public Art Unveiling Ceremony

In an event that will also celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Monte Vista Elementary School, eight pieces of public art will also be officially unveiled.  Students at Monte Vista, who won 3/8 of the Albuquerque Fractal Challenge, worked with the Fractal Foundation to create and hang eight fractal designs on the outer walls of the school.  A complete awards ceremony for all winners will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in April.

The ceremony is open to the public and will be held outdoors on January 31, 2011, at Monte Vista Elementary School beginning at 9:15 AM. (map)

  1. Thanks for the post! Actually though, the Albuquerque Fractal Challenge is open to all children in ABQ; Monte Vista students won 3/8 of the prizes. The complete award ceremony will be on April 10th on the Convention Center.
