Exactly How Do You Run in the Snow With Tennis Rackets on Your Feet?

Yeah, we know – probably no one will actually be wearing tennis rackets on their feet, but the Sandia Peak Snowshoe Race sounds like one fun event for both participants and spectators.  Imagine covering over three miles of snow-covered pristine wilderness all at 10,678 feet above sea level with panoramic views of Albuquerque, Santa Fe and the Turquoise Trail.  As of yesterday, only two slots remained for competitors, so if you’re game, grab a slot right away by registering in person at REI Albuquerque (map).  For more info, contact event organizers, Friends of Sandia Mountains, at ganelo@earthlink.net.
