Family-Run Chinese Eatery Offers Authentic Cuisine

Nestled between a ski shop and a bakery, the Szechwan Chinese Restaurant  has been serving up authentic – not to mention delicious cuisine for over 20 years.  Known for their family and house dinners ($9.95 – $17.50/person) which include a sampler of appetizers and side dishes with an entree big enough for two, the Northeast heights eatery offers what we think is some of the best Peking Beef in Albuquerque.

Reservations are accepted for larger groups, and the restaurant enjoys a thriving takeout business as well.  Dishes are delivered as they’re dished up instead of waiting until the full order is ready, meaning everything is delivered piping hot.  Fried or steamed white rice is served in large bowls for the entire table.

Our favorites include the heaping platter of Peking Beef, Kung Pao Chicken  and Sweet and Sour Chicken.  The crispy Chicken salad and the paper-wrapped chicken are favs among the appetizers.
